So sorry for the loss of my arts colleague- truly an inspiration for all of us @HHS! He continually “ pleasantly “ pushed me personally when we were in production of the Senior Play- many good discussions & many good hugs!! I will miss his candid appraisals, and his infectious laugh!! Truly a Teacher’s Teacher! Rest in Peace ! Break a leg Tom!!❤️❤️

Tom Orr was my Friend, from High School until now. My heart aches to have to say goodbye to a man that always lifted my spirits, every time I saw him.
He was so kind, caring, intelligent and humorous. He will always be a Legend for Hendersonville, although he would laugh and make a joke about that.
I will miss seeing him at the library, in a grocery store, at a City Event, or at Mills River Restaurant. It hurts deeply now, but I know I will see him again one day, and that is my comfort.
I truly hope Hendersonville and Henderson County, will consider a statue of “Mr. Thomas Orr”, to represent a truly great historian, teacher, and lover of mankind.
My sympathy and love go out to his Family, and to his larger Family - Hendersonville, NC.
