I initially met Jose several years ago and was immediately impressed with his knowledge, integrity, professionalism, and such a positive attitude. He was proud of his young family and business and had a bold vision of services he could provide to the community. Over the years, he worked with many of my Windsor Park neighbors and friends also, many of whom later remarked on Jose's strong work ethic and positive personality. It is with a heavy heart that I wish Jose's family peace and understanding while healing from this terrible loss.

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I only met Jose on three occasions before his accident and JCA only did two jobs for us there was nothing more impressive than the glow Jose produced as a young business person, husband, son and father. I remarked to my wife, after our first meeting, "I may have just met the most impressive young person and businessman I have met in many, many years." I brought some catalogs to your business and was taken back by what a wonderful business Jose, his family and employees had built at such a young age. I have been tremendously honored by knowing Jose for the short period of time I got to know him and am pleased to know I will see him again in eternity. May God bless you all!

Jose and his crew have been doing our extra trimming for the last 3 years. We love their work and couldn't believe this young, handsome, happy guy could be so successful at such a young age. (I loved to joke with him in Spanish). We learned over time though that Jose was a hard-working team player, very fair, always approachable... We are heartbroken for the Amaya family and others close to Jose. We are so sorry and offer our sincere sympathy to all of you. He was special and we'll miss him.

We were saddened to hear the news that Jose's life had been cut short at such a young age. What a tragic loss. We had used Jose/JCA for a number of projects around our house. We were impressed with the work ethic of Jose and his crews. He always had fair prices and a professional attitude. He is a shining example of someone who came to the United States to work hard and seek the American Dream. Those who think that people from outside the U.S. are rapists and drug dealers should look to Jose to see what these people are really like. We also dealt with Eva on several occasions and she was just like Jose, friendly and totally professional. Our prayers go out to his parents, Eva, his children, his family and all the JCA crew who were always number 1!

I just heard of Jose passing a few minutes ago. We no longer live in NC so I didnt get to talk to Jose as much as I used to. We met Jose in 2009 shortly after building our home. Jose used to talk about growing his business and talked about his dreams. He always had such and uplifting attitude and a visions of what things could be. I remember Jose used to talk to my daughter when she was a baby and told me of his family and how it was as growing. When we moved away he and my wife repainted a bedroom for us. He was very hands on and good person to just hang around. My condolences to his entire family and friends. Jose you will be missed.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Jose, who was an excellent example of a young entrepreneur achieving the American Dream. We live in The Cotswolds Development and were the first home here to hire his services in the early days of starting his business. We heartily recommended his business to several neighbors and soon he had many satisfied homeowners using JCA services. Aside from being a very professional businessman, Jose was a kind, thoughtful and caring person, whom you instantly liked and trusted. His relationship with his men seemed excellent and their deportment while on our property was outstanding. It was our privilege to have known Jose and to have seen his business grow. Given his winning ways and the respect and fondness he elicited from his many customers and friends, we know that he must have been a most loving son, husband, and father, who will be deeply missed by his entire family. We grieve with you as you experience this great and untimely loss. May the God of all Comfort minister to your broken hearts as you go on without Jose; and may the promise of Eternal Life in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ give you hope, peace, and of the assurance of your reunion with him one day. No doubt Jose has already met the Savior, who has said, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

We chatted often at days’ end about the new business and he sought our advice on how to improve it. We always told him, “Jose if we had a son, we would like him to be just like you.” Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Amaya, you did everything right! Eva and family, you have been blessed to have shared a life with this wonderful man. Jose, Happy Birthday in heaven. You are in our thoughts. With sadness and love, Donna and Mike Balin

From: Don & Judy Owen, The Oaks On behalf of my wife Judy and I and the Grounds Committee at The Oaks, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Amaya family and JCA Team. I have worked closely with Jose for over the past year. Jose was a great man whom I greatly respected. His hard work ethic and dedication will be greatly missed at The Oaks and many communities in the Hendersonville area. He was always honest, fair, and extremely knowledgeable with every job, keeping our community beautiful and well maintained. He had a great deal of pride in his work and often told me, “Don, we want to make our property look good” He treated our home owners with respect and was very polite to everyone. Jose was also one of the nicest men I have ever met. He had a great smile and had a way of flashing it if he had a different idea or was suggesting something different. He will be greatly missed, but certainly never forgotten.

We are devastated by the passing of Jose. One of the finest people we have worked with. Immediately we were impressed by his gentle smile and polite manner, but then our admiration grew as we saw the professionalism of his crew. The people in the office were also very polite and professional and were a delight to deal with. Jose certainly had his finger on every aspect of the business; nothing happened without his approval. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife & children and his extended family. And our thoughts and prayers are with the JCA family, too. He will be missed but we will see him again one day!

Jose and his crew at JCA do all the landscaping and maintenance in our community. Not until they came on board has Wolfpen looked so lush and beautiful. He was a true success story and a testament to hard work and the American Dream. I remember as I struggled not long ago to plant a butterfly bush in my flower bed, he spotted me struggling. He stopped his truc, got out, and planted that bush for me and simply said “ Let me do that. This is why we are here.” So when I see that bush I will remember him and what a kind spirit he was. What a legacy to leave his children. We will miss you Jose....
