While I never met Don, I can see now that the kind of man he was is amply reflected in his daughter. I am very sorry for your loss, Deni, and my thoughts and prayers are with you, Will, and the rest of the family.

I just want you all to know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you and I pray God's strength and encouragement will help you in the days to come to deal with the lost of your loved one. Where I didn't know Mr. Gladieux, I do know his daughter Deni and her husband Will, and I'm sure I through his daughter I know a part of him and if he was anything like she is, then he was truely a great man and from reading the obituary I must admit I missed getting to know a truely God sent man and count it a lost that I didn't have the chance to just sit down and converse with him. To his wife, I will keep you in my prayers and for the children the same. May God continue to richly bless you all and may he keep you in these days of bereavment. "Eternal rest, grant to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen. Christ Jesus, I come to you with confidence and faith in the power of your cross and resurrection: You who are the Risen One, promise of eternal life: Lord, have mercy. You who are the image of what we shall one day be when the dead are raised again to life: Lord, have mercy. You who came to destroy sin and death forever: Lord, have mercy. You who are the Son of God, who delivered us from the fear of death: Lord, have mercy. You who on the cross cried out to your Father: Lord, have mercy. You who are the gentle Shepherd, give eternal peace to Donald Clement Gladieux: Lord, have mercy." Love Pastor Timothy L. Porter

Don was one of my favorite men, a delicate mixture of strength and sensitivity. I am so glad that I now have this wonderful photograph of him. I will make my contribution in his honor to the Animal Welfare Alliance.

I am proud to have known such a generous and caring person as Mr. G. He and Mrs. G. have helped the people and animals of this town when nobody else would extend their hand. I am certain he is surrounded by his animal friemds that went before him. You were one heckuva good man Mr. G. and I will miss you.

The world has lost a wonderful person. Don was a truly fine man and I am glad to have known him through his dedication to the abandoned animals here in Henderson County. I will never forget him. My sympathy to his family in their loss. We've all lost a saint.

Uncle Don, You are my Godfather. You have been in my thoughts on a regular basis; almost every time I used a Kleenex. Your marriage has been an example to Carol and I when times have been tough. Your life is a shining example for us all. Thank you for being part of mine. You are now with Mom, your sister and all of you are in our prayers. Have a great eternity. Richard and Carol

I met Don around 1990 when I took over his accounts as his advertising rep with the Times News. He was one of my favorite customers. I used to plan my day around calling on him - so we could talk about Agnus the cow, Bear (?) that had wheels as his back legs, and all his other wonderful animals that he saved. I will always cherish those wonderful chats and I feel privileged to have known such a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Rose Marie, and all of your family.

What a BEAUTIFUL MAN... a beautiful life... and beautiful legacy he bestowed upon the world. We are glad to make a contribution to the Animal Welfare Alliance in his name... the mark of a good life... one that continues to give, beyond itself and even beyond his own life. A tear of appreciation and gratitude... we need more like him. Sorry I never knew your father, Deni, but glad to know him, through you. He and your mother are doing the work we dream of eventually doing.
