Doris & Family. I was in Hendersonville in 1953 & 54 . You all had the bakery then & I got to know you both then . I've thought of you both often over the years & wondered about what you all were doing. We are very sorry for your loss. Wayne , as I remember him, was a prince of a man and I know he will be missed by all who knew him. We live in east Asheville.

Doris and Family, While we rejoice that Wayne has gone to take his place with the Lord, we know you will miss him greatly and our prayers are with you all. Wayne was a wonderful Christ-like business man who cared about others. He was a good testimony and mentor to younger Christians. He personally gave me life- changing Christian counsel, for which I will always be grateful. Years ago he, Art Wray and I had fun and good fellowship as we flew aerial photo missions together locally over WNC and even over SC foothills. We will all miss him here, but we'll plan see him on the other side! HFH

It was our privilege to become acquainted with Mr. Wayne Cole at the time our daughter Summer married his grandson Jonathan Wayne Cole. "Pops" as we were allowed to call him was a kind and loving Christian man. Very accomplished. He will be missed. Our love to the family.

We recall the neighborhood gatherings when Wayne gave the blessing of the food or prayer prior to our meetings. Always neutral and giving of his time and knowledge. Wayne was the neighborhood icon. He will be dearly missed. "Eternal Rest Granted Unto Him O Lord" Debbie & Dave Huber

Dear Cole Family, I was so sad to read of Mr. Cole's homegoing. He was such a wonderful man to me growing up and I will always remember his wits and wonderful smile. He blessed my life in so many ways. Your family will be in my prayers. Even though you know that he is at home with Jesus these days ahead will be difficult. Hold on to Jesus's hand and rest on His promises. God bless you all. Love, Sophia

My deepest condolences go out to the family of Wayne Cole. I spent the better part of my youth running around the Hendersonville airport and growing up. I remember vividly Wayne and N9894G. Wayne was very instrumental in my already peeked interest in aviation. My father, Roy C Duncan was very specific about who we were able to fly with and Wayne was always my favorite person to fly with. I remember spending many days in the right seat of the 172 and I will always cherish the wonderful memories that I was able to share, thanks to Wayne. It did not ever matter what kind of day Wayne was having, he was always interested in what I had to say and is a role model for me still today. I am truly blessed to have made Wayne's acquaintance and will miss him greatly. May God hold you all near and dear during this time of loss. I know that Wayne and Dad are up there, along with the rest of the bunch that have already made their final departure from this world and the confines thereof, smiling and having the greatest fly in that has ever been! Respectfully, David Duncan and Family

He was of the highest Christian character and cared deeply for his family. Please know we would be there for the service but are now ministring in Montana. God's grace is sufficent!!! Dear Doris and Family, I was proviledged to know Wayne when growing up in 1st Baptist Church and then working at the bakery in my junior and senior year of High School, which helped greatly in learning to meet and deal with all types of people. I was President of the Student body my senior year, and he was always very understanding when I had to be out for something related to that, and I have never forgotten it. He was a good man who definitely put his belief in God into "working terms," not for show. He will be warmly remembered.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Cole. I met Mr. Cole a number of years ago when he would come swim where i work. Such a kind man. I feel he was a true inspiration to anyone he met. He talked with such love and pride of his wife and family. I will always remember him with highest respect. I know he is soaring with the angels today. God be with all of you.

My prayers are for each of you, as you go this heartbreaking time. I'm sorry I didn't know sooner, but in case you've forgotten me, I'm Ernest ( Ernie ) Capps' daughter. I grew up loving you all, and my Daddy thought of you as his family. I said "Goodbye for Now" to him, on Mar. 19, 1989, and you were all so kind to me then, as I thought my heart could not stand it. I know, both my Daddy and Mr. Cole, are waiting on each of us, with our Lord Jesus. May God bless your entire family, now and always, With my love, Ernestine Capps Nagell
