Condolences for Leland Johnson, Sr.

Gary "G.D." Cole posted on 8/6/21

I remember when Leland led a group of us Dove Hunting that I was allowed to be a part of when I was just a kid. There are many fond memories of Leland who wore a big smile and was full of adventure. I always enjoyed the Family Reunions and watching the 4th of July Fireworks from Leland's hangar when I was able to be there. The last thing I remember Leland saying to me a couple of years ago was "Do what you love to do!" Betty, Elmo, Barry & Susan, I wish I could be at Leland's Homegoing Service. I love you all and may the peace of God flood your hearts and minds!

So sorry to hear of Mr. Johnson’s passing. I first met him as a child while growing up in Canton. He was an outstanding person who would do anything to help others. His memory will remain, but he has gone on to be with the Lord. My heart and prayers go out to his family that God will provide all with comfort, peace, and strength in the years to come.

Leland will always be remembered fondly by myself and my sister. Theresa Hyder and Terry Hyder daughters of Allard Hyder. He and the entire Johnson family were a big part of our growing up. The time spent in Kenyon Auto Store where our dad worked for I.E. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. May the many good memories of Leland bring you lots of comfort.
