Rest in peace my sweet friend. No more pain or suffering. You’re running the streets of gold. No matter how bad you felt, you & brother Johnny made it to church to get filled up. We will surely miss you...until we meet again.

To say she was and is loved is an understatement! We loved her spunk, her precious smile even when she didn't feel good, and her faithfulness to God and our church! Brother Johnny and Miss Barbra were beautiful sweethearts that was a testament for young married couples to follow and look up to! She will be missed and her absence will leave a huge hole in our lives as well as our church! We will see her again! We love you brother Johnny and we will be praying for you and your family!

I did not have the privilege to know Mrs. Barabara, My husband and I are in Mabel and Jimmie’s church family at Second Baptist. We wanted to extend our condolences to the family. I know that Mabel loves her sisters and brothers and her extended family so much. She never cease to pray and praise God for the work he does in her life and her family’s has well. Some day, we can rejoice and praise God for reuniting us with our loved ones. God bless, keeping you in our prayers.

We have loved Sister Barbara and Brother Johnny several years while going to church with them. They both volunteered and Always did all they could do for GOD and our church, cleaning, cooking, serving, anything that was mentioned to be done, SIster Barbara and Brother Johnny always helped! Sis Barbara lived her life loving GOD and knowing HE had her Heavenly home prepared for her! We will remember her worshipping, and shouting, and praising GOD! And her kindness and sweet spirit, and even keeping us all on our toes at times. But everybody loved Sis Barbara, and will surely miss her, but her spirit and memories still live in our hearts! Thank you Sister Barbara Ellen Combs for loving us! Brother Johnny, and family,, we pray that GOD will give you HIS peace that passeth all understanding!

I remember Barbara of our years growing up together. Always looking forward to seeing her at the Roberts’s Reunions, and the food she brought was fabulous. One time she gave me a delicious and beautiful strawberry icebox pie to take home with me. She was such a wonderful cook and seem to enjoy it so much. She was such a good mother and loved her family so much. Rest in peace my amazing cousin. You hold a special spot in my heart.
