I was sorry to hear of Velma's passing. She was a thorough, available, and "on-task" helper at the church as a volunteer. I know she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. John at this time.

Velma was a gentle, kind lady who was always ready to help others. Anne and I got to know her during her time at First Baptist. She was the prayer leader for our Sunday school group and sang in the choir, as well working as an assistant to Pastor Liner (at the time).
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy to Rev. Rymer and their many friends. I have known them for many years during their many years at First Baptist Church. Miss Velma was a long time fixture at the church as a secretary/administrative assistant and a faithful choir member. She is healed and rejoicing in Heaven in the presence of the Lord and singing in the Heavenly Choir.
