Genie had the soul of an artist. I remember a most beautiful Birthday cake she decorated for my 30th birthday which included candied flower cascading across the top, around, and down the sides. She was also talented and could look at a garment and in a few minutes have a pattern ready to be cut out and stitched. She often seemed humble and about these God-given talents. She was generous in haring her gifts and make the world a more beautiful place.

Our lives on Walnut St., so very long ago, hold a mix of memories. Please know I remember all of you fondly, and wish you peace through this difficult time and always.

Mom was a great cook and baker. I always remember many cakes and cookies she always enjoyed making from scratch for family. She also loved riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
