Condolences for Dr. Allen F. Scheuneman

Connie and family, Dr. Scheuneman was my doctor back in 1982 and he delivered my first son Michael "Mike" Alan Erickson on Dec. 13th, '82. My aunt "Laura Erickson" who was a nurse there in TRF at the hospital, recommended Dr. Scheuneman to me. She told me that he was such a good doctor and would take very good care of me and my baby! He sure did! I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! He always took time for his patients and that is something that seems to often be lacking in our world, today. I remember interviewing Dr. Scheuneman several years later, when I was working at the KTRF Radio / Local TV station, after you both returned to TRF (He had been at Oral Roberts Univ.) and I'm sure that many found it interesting to learn about what he did, there. Now, after all these years of taking such good care of others...he is at peace and being taken care of by Our Lord and Savior. May The Lord grant you all peace and comfort during this time of such great loss! It is comforting to know that for those who know Jesus, this separation is only temporary. When my time comes, I'll recognize Dr. Scheuneman by his smile and warm personality...I think he will remember me, too. May The Lord Bless his memory. - In Christ - Diane, Mike and Leo Erickson - (Formerly from TRF-Now residing in Texas)

To Jim and Family: So sorry to hear of Allen's passing. I lost my parents at an early age, so I'm jealous that you got to have him for so long! But be that as it may, it is always so hard to lose a loved one. Praying for all of you in your time of loss. May God bless his memory.

So sorry to hear of Al’s passing. He saved my life in 1972 after complications during our sons birth. He was a compassionate, funny and knowledgeable doctor. My husband Don & I send our condolences for a truly great guy.

I had the honor of working with Dr. Scheuneman at the Thief River Falls clinic in the 70's. He was also my personal physician and delivered both my daughters. He had a wonderful smile, sense of humor, was very professional, and made you feel like you were his only patient. My husband Doyle and I were impressed when he came into my hospital room after he delivered our first child and sat down and visited with us like an old friend. He was a special man and I will never forget him. My heart goes out to you Connie and your family. He made a difference in the lives of many people!
