Dear Dot, For some unknown reason I was thinking of Dechert and Bill just now and did a Google search for Bill. I was sad to find his obituary from more than a year ago. Bill was a very important mentor to me and we had many good times together. I will always remember him (and you) fondly and only regret that we did not find the time to visit you and Bill in NC. From the other posts it is clear that Bill was well loved and we can’t ask for more. Warmly, Candy

I was totally shocked when I received the call that Bill had passed away. I knew he was at Duke University but thought he was doing better. Henderson County has lost one of her strongest advocates. Bill worked tirelessly for the betterment of Henderson County and enriching the lives of all that live here. Bill was always listening to all sides of an issue then make the most informed decisions. We've had many good conversations through the years and supported one another repeatedly. I will miss him very much, even though we would only see one another at our monthly Airport Authority meetings. Dot and family you are in our prayers and we pray that you will have peace and comfort. Matthew 5:9 - Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Bill Moyer will live on through his family and his friends. Our fond memories will not subside. His legacy in Henderson County is all around the county. When you visit many of our wonderful facilities - Thank Bill Moyer.
