Joe Rhodes has served on the Forest Lawn and Shuler Funeral Home staff since 1999. Born and raised in Hooper’s Creek Community, Joe owned Service Barber Shop in Fletcher where he was a barber for fifteen years. He then worked as rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for thirty years before retiring in 1988.
He served the Fletcher Fire Department for forty-eight years and also worked with the West Henderson High School football team for several years as a licensed massage therapist.
Joe is a founding member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. He and his wife, Frances, have a son and daughter and three grandsons.
