Wilma T. Duncan, 79, died peacefully Friday, July 15, 2016 after a brief illness. Wilma was born August 24, 1936 in Blair, Fairfield County, South Carolina. Wilma was preceded in death by her loving parents, Thomas Cleveland Traylor and Fannie Louise Feaster; two brothers, Tommy and Donald; two Sisters, Mary Alice and Emily; her loving husband, Donald Bruce Duncan; and her beloved son, Clifton Reid Duncan.
Wilma was full of life and completely devoted to her family which she DEARLY loved. She loved to tell jokes, play bridge, cook for crowds, fish on the pontoon boat, babysit the grandchildren or neighborhood kids and just generally rejoiced in good times with family and friends. She had a knack for bonding with small children through her unselfish expenditure of time.
Wilma is survived by two sisters, Grace and Betty; two sons, Barry and Scott; nine nieces, four nephews, five grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, 23 July 2016 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, NC. Pastor Perry Hines of Canton, North Carolina will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
