Bill Peters, 85, of Hendersonville, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Pardee Hospital. He was born in Cincinnati, OH to the late Howard and Johanna Peters, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Cozad Peters.
Bill was a graduate of Purcell High School in Cincinnati, OH. He worked as an apprentice for General Electric specializing in jet engine repair. Bill’s career gave him and his family the opportunity to reside in many parts of the country: Florida, Kansas, California, Texas, Indiana, and Ohio. Bill’s pastimes included reading, tinkering with things, watching Fox News and Andy Griffith reruns, and collecting old memorabilia, including a 1912 Model T Ford which he restored to original parts. He also enjoyed an occasional Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino and riding his motorcycle to flea markets to get the best deals. No one got a better deal than Bill Peters. Bill will be remembered for his ability to fix anything, the love he had for his family, and his silly comments that always made people roll their eyes.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Natalie Covert (Randy), Jennifer Byrd (Mark), Stephanie Kowald (Brian), and Douglas Peters; siblings, Martha Belleman, Jimmy Peters, Jerry Peters (Micki) and Charlene Harris; grandsons, Brad Bowman, Bryan Bowman, Adam Byrd (Makayla), Alex Kowald, Hunter Kowald, Zachary Peters, Dylan Peters, and Nathan Peters; granddaughters, Brandi Gull (Thomas), Beth Byrd, and Carol Kowald; and great-grandchildren, Ada Gull and Silas Gull.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:30pm with Father Jonathan Torres officiating.
