Wanda Mae Ellege Dungy, 76, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Life Care Center Hendersonville. She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Zennie Ellege.
Wanda was preceded in Death by her four brothers, Oliver, L.B., Charles, and Ralph.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 35 years, Jesse Dungy, her sons, Robert Brown and wife Leslie and Fredrick Dungy and wife Teresa; her daughters, Chris Stanton and husband Tarold and Veronica Climie and husband Bart; her brother, Jack Ellege and wife Sue, along with 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a devout member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and was known for her kindness and love of baking as she loved to minister to others with homemade cakes and candies.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 538 Tracy Grove Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792 and a visitation will be held Friday, December 1 from 6 – 8pm at Forest Lawn.
