Virginia Tanner McQuiston

April 27, 1932 - April 17, 2017

Virginia McQuiston, 84, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock. Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of Everett and Evelyn Webb Tanner.

Virginia had a wonderful life, full of love, fun and laughter. She was a beautiful, kind, thoughtful and sweet woman who was completely devoted to her family. She could find excitement in a trip to the thrift store as much as a trip to Italy.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was happiest getting family together for every possible occasion—birthdays, holidays, camping, boating and cookouts. She enjoyed her home, gardening and nature. A devoted Christian, she radiated love and was the absolute heart of her family.

Virginia recently stated that she had enjoyed a Great Romance with her husband of 54 years, James McQuiston. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Pamela Gause, Donna McMahon and Angela Gause; and her grandchildren, Jessica McMahon, Gabriella Andersen and Alexander Andersen.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 20 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
