Virginia N. Lytle, 83, of Bald Mountain passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at her home after a short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Dora Nesbitt, and was also preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Lytle, Edith Marlowe, Dorothy Grant, and Martha Marlowe; one brother, Garland Nesbitt. She retired after twenty-two years with General Electric in Hendersonville.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-two years, Gene Lytle; a son, Greg Lytle and his wife Jill of Horse Shoe; two daughters, Ellen Riegg of Asheville, Pat Hill and her husband Ken of Roxboro, NC; four grandchildren, Heather Riegg and her husband Nathan Cook, Nick Bracewell, Jacob Hill, Caitlyn Rainwater; a sister, Beatrice Marlowe; a brother, Guy Nesbitt; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Kenneth Rape will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MANNA Food Bank, 627 Swannanoa River Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
