Ursula Braun Hess (80) of Etowah NC passed away March 2, 2021, at her home. She was born in Marl-Huls Germany on July 22, 1940, to the late Gustav and Hildegard Braunohler. Ursula was also a prior resident of Fairfield CA,
She served in the US Air Force in the early 1960s. Mrs. Hess enjoyed hiking and was a member of the Asheville Amblers Walking Club, the Asheville New Friends, and the American Volkssport Association. Within these clubs, she attended 2,400 events and booked 24,000 Km or 14,912 miles.
Ursula is survived by her husband of 60 years Charles Hess. Two sons Michael Hess and his wife Corolla from Chapel Hill NC and Ed Hess and his wife Kelli from Wayne MA. One sister Patricia Beatty and her husband Tim of Tucson AZ.
