Tonya Wilson Graham, 56, of East Flat Rock went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Pardee hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a graduate of West Henderson High School. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila and niece, Shelly.
Tonya was a 23-year employee of the Henderson County Health Department and was an active member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time at the beach and anything that had to do with being outdoors. Tonya had a positive thing to say about everyone and anyone who met her ended up loving her. She always had a warm smile on her face to greet everyone, and she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; parents, Charles and Louise Wilson; children, Stephanie Massey (Dale), Kim Toney (Chris) and Justin Toney (Tina); grandchildren, Troy Jackson, Kristina Jackson, Cameron Massey, Kayla Toney, Carter Garren and Gianni Toney; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; her best friend of 34 years, JoAnne Ballard and her loveable dog, Charlie Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Pridmore and Reverend Jimmy Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.

Tonya always had an uplifting inspirational phrase to share with me no matter whatever was going on in my life. We would only see each other now and then since high school but we were always able to pick up from our last encounter. This last year has been extra inspiring to get to share an email or two with each other.
