Gifts & Memorial Donations

Steven Paul Nyitrai, Jr (73) of Hendersonville, NC passed away on Easter morning, April 4, 2021.  Steve was born in Lackawanna, NY to the late Steven Paul Nyitrai, Sr. and Colita Belle Nyitrai.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joan Naess Nyitrai; son, Steven Paul Nyitrai, III (Ellen) of Maryville, TN; daughter Stacey Lynn Nyitrai Troisi (Stephen) of Boone, NC; and five grandchildren, Sydney, Davis, Collin, Kelton, and Beckett.  He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert Nyitrai (JoAnne) of Tonawanda, NY, and Jeffrey Nyitrai (Ann) of Hamburg, NY.

Steve was a graduate of The University at Buffalo and proudly served in the Army National Guard.  He was a long-time member of the Elks Club and enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to the beach.  He loved reading history, playing golf, and watching sports.  Steve had many, close life-long friendships and loved his friends like family.  Anyone who knew Steve, knew he always had a bottle of hot sauce with him and that he loved extra crispy buffalo wings, the hotter the better.

Steve had a long and distinguished 46 and a half year career with Carrols Corporation working as a District Supervisor of many Burger King restaurants.  He had a meticulous eye for detail and demanded the best out of all those around him.  As much as he loved his work, he loved his family even more, especially his five grandchildren.  He loved being around his grandkids, whether they were competing in sports or just playing in the yard.  Steve will be greatly missed by many; we will miss his stories, his love of long phone calls, and his hugs.

Until we meet again, GO BILLS!
A service to celebrate his life will be held privately at Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville, NC.
