Steven Alan Staton

December 5, 1957 - March 26, 2021

Steven Alan Staton, 63, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2021.

A native of Henderson County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy Staton. He is preceded in death by his son Travis Staton, and twin brothers Ronald and Donald Staton.  He is survived by his brother Michael Staton, sister Pamela  Skipper, son Christopher Staton (Jennifer), and granddaughter Ava.

Steve served his country in the Army. He loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing, and enjoyed watching history documentaries.  He loved the time he was able to spend with his granddaughter Ava, who was the light of his life.  Steve will be missed greatly, but we have comfort knowing he is now in his heavenly home.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Shepherd Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2 PM with the Rev. Charles Evans officiating.  All Covid-19 protocols will remain in place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Steve’s memory to Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) for their Veterans Restoration Quarters, 20 Twentieth Street, Asheville, NC 28806.
