Ruth M. Coggins Russell, 87, of Zirconia, NC passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Ruth was born in Greenville, SC on Tuesday, March 5, 1935, to the late Rufus and Lillie Coggins. Ruth is also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie E. Russell, son, Allen Russell, and four brothers and five sisters.

Ruth worked at Camp Glen Arden and Arrowhead, and also Autumn Care Nursing home in the laundry. Ruth was also a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her son, Duane Russell of Zirconia, NC, son, Edward Russell (Patty) of Zirconia, NC, daughter, Jeanette Lane of Saluda, NC, daughter, Trish Russell (Kevin) of Dana, NC, and son Jessie Burns (Amanda) of Zirconia, NC. Ruth is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Zirconia, NC on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 10 to 11AM with the funeral service following at 11AM. The Rev. William Heatherly is officiating. The interment will follow at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
