Rosalee Hines, 87, of Fletcher, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Park Ridge Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Lola and Isabelle Barnwell.  She is also preceded in death by two husbands, Major Lee Shipley, Jr. and Dan Hines; three sons, Roger Shipley, Ronnie Shipley, and Ricky Shipley; two sisters, Idabelle Stepp and Pauline Wilkie; and a granddaughter, Angie Noble.

Rosalee worked as a seamstress most of her life.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Rosalee is survived by a daughter, Claudia Shipley of Fletcher; two sons, Major Lee Shipley, III and his wife Annette of Dana and David Shipley and his wife Ada Jane of Fletcher; five grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Phillip Trees officiating.

    Claudia,David and RD, Rose was like a secound Mama to me. I will never forget her taking me in to live with you guys so I could stay in East Hi.She took Mamaws place when it came to canning and she would always give me something when I stopped by to see her.I loved your Mama dearly and I will miss her.She will be missed by a lot of people in Fletcher.I know she is in a better place now and in no pain.
