Robert Frederick, caring husband, friend and uncle, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at age 88 after a series of health issues.
Bob was born to John and Janet Frederick on July 03, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation from high school, he moved with his parents to Pasadena, California where he attended the University of Southern California until entering the United States Army, where he served from 1953 to 1955. Bob then pursued his passion for the movie industry and began a 38-year-career with Warner Brothers in Burbank, California in 1956. The majority of his time was spent in publicity and on promotional tours for new release movies. During this time, he met his wife Karen and they married in 1985.
Upon retirement in 1994, Bob and Karen moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina. They became members of the Hendersonville Country Club where they golfed and met many wonderful new friends. Bob spent several years volunteering for the Sheriff’s Department, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He remained an avid movie enthusiast, as well as a lover of all sports and was a devoted Dodger fan.
Bob will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, honorable person who always put others first and thought the best of his fellow man. Bob is survived by his devoted wife, whom he loved unconditionally. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and nephews; and fourteen great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville on Friday, January 07, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
