Regina Parks, 55, of Hendersonville, NC, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at her home.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of Gussie Beasley Parks of Hendersonville and the late Pierceson Parks.

She retired as an X-ray film inspector from DuPont Industries. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, and walking, and loved gospel music. She was a licensed evangelistic missionary and once attended the Star of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Carroll Karla Robinson of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Nicholas Keisler Steele, Cassidy Kiara Robinson, Yhshua Quinz Robinson, and Israel Therian-Lin Robinson, all of Hendersonville; six brothers, Pierce Parks, David Parks, Donnie Parks, Ronnie Parks, Darryl Parks, and Darrett Travis Parks, all of Hendersonville; five sisters, Teresa Parks of Hendersonville; Denise Parks of Greenville, SC; Jonie Parks of Hendersonville; Lula Robinson of Spartanburg, SC; and Edith Lasiter of Hendersonville; her aunt, Ilen Hill of Hendersonville; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Star of Bethel Baptist Church. The Reverends Robert “Bobby” Hill, Sr., Ronnie Sullivan, and James Pea will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Star of Bethel Baptist Church, 105 N. Whitted St., Hendersonville, NC 28791.
