Ray Edward Robinson, 75, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord and his loved ones who had already passed on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Following a cancer diagnosis in February, he fought bravely for as long as he could for the remaining months of his life.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Marion Wilson and Mary McIntosh Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold “Spooks” Robinson; sisters, Bertha Wilkie and Doris Bradshaw; and an infant brother.
Moving to Henderson County at a young age, Ray worked at Berkeley Mills for over 30 years before retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of Naples Baptist Church and enjoyed golfing or fishing, when he was able, but his world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren; he was so proud of them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dolly “Louise” Robinson; sons, Jeff Robinson (Karen) and Warren Robinson (Tonya); grandchildren, Jonathan Robinson (Melissa), Lareshia “Larri” Robinson, and CJ Robinson; brothers, Dewey Robinson (Brenda) and Dolph Robinson (Theda); and sisters, Joyce Ann Solesbee and Lois Welch (Rick).
