Rabon Monroe Maybin, 83, of Zirconia, passed away on February 6, 2021, at Mission Hospital. He was born in Zirconia to the late Raleigh and Grace Bayne Maybin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Henry Maybin, and grandson, Andrew Ray Maybin.
He graduated from the old Flat Rock High School in 1956 and retired from General Electric as a maintenance worker after 35 years. Rabon was a member of Mountain Valley Baptist Church and was a member of Mopar Clubs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Eulanne Tankersley Maybin; daughter Lynne Maybin Tankersley of DeLeon Springs, FL, Kim Maybin and stepson Tom Pace (Renee) of Zirconia; grandchildren, Dustin Maybin, Chase Tankersley, Tracy Gossett (Donnie); step-grandchildren, Abigail Delaney, Colby, Iva, Isaiah, and Cyrus Pace; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jan Maybin; niece, Anne Bowen; and nephew Danny Maybin.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at one o’clock pm at Mountain Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend David Dickerson, Reverend Ronnie Hodge, and Reverend Butch Skerritt officiating. A viewing will be held thirty minutes before the service.

Rabon was a wonderful man he was my stepdad for a number of years. My Mom was Ruth he taught me to drive and was the most patient man you could ever want to know. I am very sorry for the families loss.
