March 12, 1937 - January 20, 2021

Octaviano Rodriguez, Sr, 83, of Hendersonville passed away peacefully January 20,2021 at AdventHealth surrounded by his family.

Born in Cortazar-Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Trinidad and Asuncion Rodriguez; he is also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Octaviano met and then married the love of his life, Susana; they had nine children together. Over thirty years ago, Octaviano had moved to North Carolina and had worked in the Agricultural industry at Van Wingerden. He genuinely loved life and lived it to the fullest by spending time with the people who meant the most to him, his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he loved watching them grow over the years.

Octaviano had several hobbies; biking, long walks and runs, scenic drives admiring the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and listening to music. As a young adult in Mexico, Octaviano was a DJ for parties and weddings. Octaviano was of the Catholic faith and was a member at Immaculate Conception Church of Hendersonville.

Left to cherish Octaviano’s memory is his wife, Susana Rodriguez; sons, Antonio Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Monico Rodriguez and Octaviano Rodriguez, Jr; daughters, Blanca Nieves, Rosa Rodriguez, Ana Lusia Rodriguez, Maria Trinidad Rodriguez and Maria del Rayo Rodriguez; thirty-two grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family will have a private funeral service. A graveside will be open to the public at 10am January 28, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Deacon Sig Friogo officiating.
