Norma Jean Sellers, 88, of Mills River passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Mills River, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Daisy Praytor. She was also preceded in death by six sisters.

Norma was a lifelong member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and was a very godly woman who would share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone she met. Her family was always first and foremost in her life. She enjoyed sewing and mending clothing, watching football and NASCAR with her husband, and cooking for her family. Norma was very patriotic person who loved her country.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Mitchell; 2 sisters, Linda Franklin and Patricia Mintz; numerous nieces and nephews and her church family.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Pastors Mike Goforth and Robert Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service at the church from 1-2pm. Family and friends are invited to bring photos and memories to share with everyone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norma’s memory to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. 56 Mt Gilead Church Rd, Mills River, NC 28759.
