Navio “Rap” Dominic Rapposelli, 90, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021.
Rap was born on January 9, 1931 in Pescara, Italy to the late Serafino Rapposelli and the late Esther Camplone Rapposelli. Rap is also preceded in death by his wife, Saundra“Sunny” Kay Rapposelli, son, Mark Rapposelli, sister, Nena Phillips, and brothers, Dino, and George Rapposelli.
Rap spent most of his career as a lab technician and retired from DuPont. He was a police officer in upper Chichester, PA before that. Rap was also a Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
While living in Delaware, Rap loved taking family out on his pontoon boat crabbing. Rap was also a great cook. He was famous for his meatballs, scones, and muffins. He was often referred to as “Stud Muffin”.
Rap is survived by his sister Gina (Alan) Sack, daughter Esther Dusi (Claudio), son Frank Rapposelli , and daughter Joanne Bertuccini (James); grandchildren, James Bertuccini, Kristen Ernst, Mark Rapposelli Jr., Gina Rapposelli, Jessica Rapposelli, and Marissa Rapposelli; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Bertuccini, Mila Bertuccini, Zachary Bertuccini, Gianna Snyder, and Dominic Ernst.
A celebration of life will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery (Severs Rd. entrance) in La Porte, Indiana on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow at Cummings Lodge also in La Porte.
