Myron G. “Mike” Wall, 89, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Thursday morning, February 21, 2008.

Born in Prospect, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas D. Wall and Edna Alta Rathbun Wall. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Silliman.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. Before retiring, he was an assistant supervisor for Niagara Mohawk Power Line Department in Hartford, NY. He was a member of the Retirees Club of New Hartford. After moving to Hendersonville in 1988, he became a member of Dana United Methodist Church and the Hendersonville American Legion Post 77. He was an avid dog enthusiast.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Doris Bryant Wall of Hendersonville; his sister, Doris Helmer; four children, Larry M. Wall, Michael W. Wall, Jeanne Gregory, and Patricia A. Briggs; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his niece, Sue Ireland.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Dana United Methodist Church. The Reverend Walt Christian will officiate. A reception will follow the service. Interment with military rites will be held at a later date at Norwich Corners Cemetery in Norwich, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
