Gifts & Memorial Donations

Mildred Ann Jones Bane, 80, of Hendersonville, passed away on November 10, 2021. She was the daughter of the late William Glenn and Doras Elsie Jones.

Mildred was a kind-hearted woman, always doing for others without asking for anything in return. She loved on others through her cooking and in her spare time, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and sewing quilts. Her fondness for bluegrass gospel was endearing, and she will always be remembered for being a wonderful wife and mother.

Mildred is survived by her children: Dennis Bane (Cindy), Teresa Heatherly, and Debra Hill (Jimmy); her grandchildren: Cassondra Clayton (Bobby), Karla Coggins (Leray), Crystal Jones, James Hill, and Abbey Hill; her seven great-grandchildren; and her sister Virginia Lyda.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Fred Bane; and her brothers Nallie Jones and Arthur Jones.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 11:00am at the Chapel at Shuler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and a committal will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mildred’s daughter Teresa and I have been friends for a long time but it wasn’t until this past summer that I met her. I met Teresa at her mom’s house on the way home to pick up some vegetables. My grandmothers passed away a long time ago and it was such a blessing to feel that love ago. I am blessed to have met Mildred and will always remember the grandmotherly love I felt that day.
