Michael Joseph "Mike" Quinn

March 28, 1938 - August 31, 2020

Michael (Mike) Joseph Quinn, 82, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the Elizabeth House.  Born in The Bronx, New York, he was the son to the late Peter James Quinn and Catherine (Slattery) Quinn.  He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Kevin Carroll, and his cousin Mary Walsh (Bill).  Mike retired from the Internal Revenue Service, after 35 years, as the District Director in Los Angeles, CA.  He attended St. Frances Grammar School, Mt. St. Michael Academy, Bronx, New York, and Iona College in New Rochester, New York.

Mike served in the United States Army, being stationed in France and Germany, and was a part of the cold war in Berlin.  He was a resident of Henderson County and previously resided in San Clemente, California; Seattle, Washington; Springfield, Virginia; Eagan, Minnesota; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Buffalo, New York; Nashua, New Hampshire; Warwick, Rhode Island;  Montrose, New York, and Dobbs Ferry, New York.

A loving husband, son, and brother, Mike was of the Catholic faith, in which he taught religious education and faith formation in various locations.  Being an avid golfer, he had various golf memberships in Golf Clubs.

Left to cherish in his memories are his wife, Mary Ann (Dolan) Quinn, of 54 years; sister, Mary Alice Quinn Carroll Davis, of River Edge, New Jersey; niece Maureen Carroll Smith (Tom) and son Cooper; nephew Brian Carroll (Jennifer) and children, Sydney, Tucker, Olivia, and Wesley; and special cousin and godchild, Patricia Walsh Cash (Bill).

A Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tennessee.
