Mary Esther Kelley Cannon, 78, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at her home with her family.

She was born in Boston, MA, and had resided in Malden, MA; Bedford, OH; Livonia, MI; London, England; Ankara, Turkey; Des Moines, IA; Troy: MI; and New York, NY.

Mary was an avid line dancer and clogger and an award-winning portrait artist.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori, and her son, Rick.

Mary is survived by her husband, Richard D. Cannon of Sweetwater Hills, Hendersonville; daughters, Dee Cannon of San Diego, CA, and Patricia Sheridan and husband,James E. Sheridan, of Sunset Beach, NC; sons, Michael P. Cannon and wife, Joanna, of Naperville, IL, and James P. Cannon & wife, Cheri, of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Nicholas, Patricia, Marissa, Jessica, Jade, Christa, Jamie and Scott; and brothers, Francis Kelley and wife, Nina, of Everett, MA, and John Kelley and wife, Pat, of Melrose, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend John Salvas will officiate.

    What a joy is has been to know Ms. Mary. I was always inspired by her grace and dedication to her family. You are all so very blessed to have her watching over you from heaven.
