Mary Dill Talley, 94, went home to be with her Heavenly Father and all the loved ones gone before her, on November 25, 2019. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home at Carillon Memory Care Facility. Mary was born April 20, 1925 to the late Thomas Dill and Susan Brevard Dill.  She was a lifelong resident of Hendersonville, NC.

Mary was also preceded in death by a brother, William Dill; two sisters, Nannie Dill Ramsey and Emma Dill Griffin; her loving husband, Warren Talley; two children Barbara Brown and Tommy Talley; a son-in-law Jeff Anderson; and many other loved ones.  She is survived by two daughters, Susan Bryant of Lake Lure and Jane Anderson of Columbia, SC; daughter-in-law, Carole Crossman Ballard of Mill Spring, NC; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was loving, kind, and generous. She was a hard worker, working in textile mills until she retired at age 79. She loved reading, especially her Bible, and working in her flower and vegetable garden.  She was a long-time member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and later Mountain View Baptist Church, when driving became difficult for her.

Services for Mary will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 at Shuler Funeral Home Chapel, 125 Orr’s Camp Road at two o’clock, with burial immediately following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to any Alzheimer organization.
