Marie Jenkins Kliefoth, 95, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
A native of Black Mountain, she was the daughter of the late William and Sally Plemmons Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Kliefoth, who died in 1998 and four siblings, Myrtle McCall, Marjorie Blanks, John Jenkins, and Dewey Jenkins.
Before retiring to Henderson County in 1998, Marie had resided in Falls Church, VA and New Brannsfels, TX. She was employed as a Human Resources Officer with Civil Service for 30 years in Washington DC and Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.
Marie was very involved in her church, First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville. She found joy in bowling and enjoyed the camaraderie of her league mates at Tarheel Lanes. She also enjoyed spending time with dogs and reciprocated their unconditional love.
She is survived by nine nieces and nephews and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
A committal service will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where Marie will be laid to rest next to her loving husband.
