Marie C. Kawalec

Passed Away: February 4, 2021
Marie Claire Kawalec of Hendersonville, beloved wife of the late Edward Kawalec, passed peacefully into heaven on Thursday, February 4, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Marie was born in Philadelphia PA to the late Thomas and Louise Baumann Wall, the youngest and last surviving of eight children.
She and Ed relocated to Hendersonville in 1977 with his job transfer through Eaton Corporation, and were members of Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Hendersonville. Marie was a longtime volunteer in the Pardee Hospital Auxiliary, serving at both the hospital and the former education center.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Frazier of Hendersonville; granddaughter Lauren Frazier of Greenville, SC; and several special nieces and nephews.
A private memorial Mass will be celebrated later this month. Due to Covid considerations, the family knows that her friends join us in spirit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic church, to Interfaith Assistance Ministries in Hendersonville, or to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the entire staff at Life Care Center in Hendersonville, and especially to the nurses and CNAs for their excellent care of our mother and grandmother.
