A celebration of Peggyís life will be held from 1-3 PM Saturday, May 2, 2009 at her home in Saluda.

We are so sorry about the loss of such a wonderful woman. I will always cherish my childhood memories of being with all of you growing up and our escapades at Lake Sheila and Papa Smith's lake home. I am not sure about our attendance at the memorial service as I am waiting the arrival of my new grandson who is due by May 13. If we don't make it you will be in our prayers.

Peggy, I don't think I ever called you Aunt Peggy, you were a part of my life from the day you met Pete. I was not even in school but was upset when I figured out he loved you more than me. You trusted me with your babies when I was a teenager. Everything I knew about taking care of babies I learned on Patti, Rusty and Lisa. Christopher was so lucky You let me practice on your babies. When I became an adult we would talk on the phone for hours, until Pete would begin to worry about the cost. You were always easy to talk to. I will never see hummingbirds, fushia plants or tulips that I do not think of you. But most of all I will remember that you were always positive and happy, even when things were not always going well in your life. I love you and am ever so grateful that you were a part of my life.Judy Scott Parks

Dear Pete, Patti, Rusty, Lisa and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. Peggy was loving, caring, courageous, and a fighter, never giving up. Her battle with cancer has ended but her memories will last forever. As sick as Peggy was, I will always remember the trip she made during our time of loss to be with our family and it was deeply appreciated. I will miss her smiling face and the twinkle in her eyes. She is resting in peace and free from pain. Martha & Alex

I met Peggy when I was about 17 and too big for my britches. She was my step-mom's ...mom. I always loved her spirit, positive attitude and zest for life. I am proud to be her "step-grand-child"....whatever that is. BUT what a wonderful women, mother, wife and grandmother. Her life will be cherished and remembered as a gift.

Aunt Peggy was a very special woman! She made us all feel so special and loved. I have so many wonderful memories of our summers at the lake. However, my favorite memories are now the ones of her with my oldest daugher, Everett Jane (3). She was so in love with Aunt Peggy and always talks about her and has named several babies after her. :) Everett Jane told us that Aunt Peggy will be her angel and I believe that is true. I am so glad that our baby Margaret Grace has Aunt Peggy as one of her namesakes and hope that she will grow to be as wonderful as Aunt Peggy. Uncle Pete and family, you are in our constant prayers. We love you! Lee Anne, Peter, and the girls
