Lynn Russell “Lynnie” Kean, 61, of Zirconia, NC and formerly of Harrisburg, OH died late Thursday evening, June 18, 2020 following a brief illness.
Mr. Kean was born in Franklin County, Ohio on Thursday, September 4, 1958 to the late Daniel R. and Cleo C. (Ray) Kean. On September 7, 1982 in West Jefferson, OH he married his loving wife of 37 years, the former Beverly Joyce Nutter who survives.
Before retiring to Hendersonville, NC Mr. Kean resided in Roseville, California where he was a heavy equipment fabricator in the automotive field and enjoyed woodworking and car racing with his family. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his wife he leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Stacy L. Barker and her husband, Brandon, of Washington Court House, Ohio and his son, Robert T. Kean and his wife, Linda of Harrisburg, Ohio. Also surviving are his four grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Alexis, Isabella, Trevor, and Oliver; a sister-in-law, Sarah F. Bond and her husband, Richard of Circleville, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his good friends, Jim Whittredge, Sr., Brenda Justus, and Michelle Justus; and all those at ProTow. In addition to his late parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Dennis Kean and a sister, Diane LaRoche.
Funeral services for Mr. Kean will be celebrated one o’clock, Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2020 in the Shuler Funeral Home Chapel, 125 Orr’s Camp Road, Hendersonville, NC, with Rev. Matthew A. Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in the historic Oakdale Cemetery in Hendersonville, NC. The family will receive guests from 12:00 to 12:45 pm prior to the service in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Mr. Kean to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Lynnie will be forever missed by his loving and devoted wife, children, family members and many dear friends.
