Lisa A. Roman, 75, of Hendersonville, died Wednesday, March 5, in St. Augustine,

Fl. A native of Hamlin, PA, she was a daughter of the late George Willis and Elsie Lorenz May. She was also preceded in death by a son, Eric Roman. She was a graduate of Lake Ariel High School and had been a member of St. Eulalia’s Catholic Church in PA. She owned a bridal shop, Elise Bridals, in Mount Cobb, PA and also assisted her husband with the operation of the Mount Cobb Garden Center, which they also owned. She had been a Girl Scout Leader for many years and worked for the Girl Scout Council. She lived in Adams Run, SC and had worked as a librarian for the Charleston County, SC Library Annex. She and her husband moved to Hendersonville 12 years ago. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hendersonville.

Mrs. Roman is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill Roman; four children, Amy Sennick, Melanie Gardner, Bill Roman, Jr. and Jennifer Gilman; two brothers and a sister, George May, Diana Lang and Robert May; 6 grandchildren, Heather Rixford, Erica Patel, David Theobald, Jr., Allison Theobald, Billy Roman III and Isabel Saidi; 7 great-grandchildren, Joey, Julia, Abigail, Nalen, Rebecca, Emma and Vanessa; several nieces and nephews and her dachshund, Greta.

A mass of the resurrection will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 15, in the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel of Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest. The family will receive guests from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Friday, March 14, at Shuler Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held 7:00 PM the evening of the visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to one’s local library.
