Larry Kosowsky, died after a long illness on June 23, 2022, at Bermuda Run Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 24, 1930, in Boston, Ma., the son of the late Joseph and Dora (Wasserman) Kosowsky).

Larry was a graduate from Boston University. Following graduation, he served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict receiving a Good Conduct Medal. While stationed at Ft. Sam Houston he met and married WAC Joan Mabry.

Larry was a committed volunteer of Land of Sky, a cherished past member of Agudas Israel of Hendersonville and an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Joan. Surviving are his daughters, Diane Kosowsky of Astoria, NY; Debora Morrow of Asheville, NC, Janice Brand and her husband Ken of Eatontown, NJ and son Jack Kosowsky and wife Kim of Yardville, NJ; his seven grandchildren Danielle, Stephanie, Kenneth, Katelyn, Jonathan, Ryan, and Sean, six ½ great grandchildren, Jonah, Genevieve, Jaxen, Fiona, Meara Rory, and a new baby on the way. He is also survived by his loving companion Adele Groban and her daughters Leann and Mona.

Memorial service and internment will be Monday, June 27, 2022, at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 am and Shiva at Agudas Israel, 505 Glasgow Ln, Hendersonville, NC 28739 June 27, 2022, at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interfaith Assistance Ministry, P.O. Box 2562, Hendersonville, NC 28793.
