Kathleen Mary Finley Ross, 71, of Hendersonville, NC, died Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Hendersonville.
A native of Lafayette, IN, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Joseph Finley and Mary Veronica Broghammer Finley. Kathleen is also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Clare Redinbo and a son, Seth Adam Ross.
She attended St. Teresa’s College in Winona, MN and Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Kathleen had prior residences in Indiana, Thailand, and South Carolina before moving to Hendersonville, NC, where she became a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. As a parishioner of the church, she enjoyed teaching children about the Catholic faith. While living in South Carolina, she was employed with the North Charleston South Carolina Police Department for several years.
Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Colles of GA and Kristina Ross of CA; a son, John Ross and his wife Alice of SC; six grandchildren, Timothy, Katherine, Sarah, Robert, James, and Kaleb; a sister, Rosanne Sneddon and her husband John of MS; two brothers, Patrick Finley and his wife Judy of IN and David Finley and his wife Geraldine of IL; a brother-in-law, Robert Redinbo of CA; and her former husband, James Stephen Ross who is the father of her children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Kathleen’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Cancer for Kids, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
