Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Ronemus, LPC, LCAS, CCS & MAC, 71, of Little River, SC and formerly of Hendersonville, NC and Florida made her transition in her sleep at a close friend’s home in Hendersonville early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2019.
Kathy was born on Wednesday, June 23, 1948 in Washington, DC to the late William Harrison and Mary Louise (Wight) Ronemus. Kathy was a graduate of Bladensburg High School in Bladensburg, MD and later received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Saint Leo University in FL followed by her Masters’ from Northeast Louisiana University in LA.
Her marriage to Bill produced four beautiful children and she happily raised three sons and one daughter.
After being a couple since 2001, on February 14, 2014 Kathy married the love of her life, Linda Mary Jones who survives.
She was a faithful and devoted member of her church, Unity of The Blue Ridge in Mills River, NC.
In addition to her wife, Linda, she leaves behind to cherish her memory 3 sons, William L. Troxell and his wife, Kim of Alabama, Patrick E. Troxell and his wife, Kim of Jacksonville, NC and James J. Troxell of Yulee, FL; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Coty and her husband Spencer, Taylor Troxell, Dane Hemenway, Mikayla Troxell and Alyssa Troxell. Other survivors include 5 sisters, Darlene Murphy and her husband, Jack of DE, Gina Witten of TN, Patricia Friedmann and her husband, Mark PA, Pamela Forness and her husband Paul of AZ and Cheryl Aversa and her husband Bill also of PA. She will be missed by her aunt, Rose and uncle, Phil and her wonderful nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ann Marie Pellegrino who died on February 27, 2011 and a brother, Edward Ronemus.
A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at Unity of the Blue Ridge on Saturday, August 31 at 11:00 AM. A private inurnment will be held prior to the service.
Kathy was very passionate about the separation of families and the neglect and imprisonment of the children. Therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her name to Build a Bridge – www.RAICEStexas.org
Kathy will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.
