Judson Carlyle Ammons, 83, of Flat Rock, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Mission Hospital.  He was born in Henderson County to the late Jeter and Martha (Duncan) Ammons.

Judson served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 – 1960 and was the owner of Martin Heating and Air.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sara Joan Ammons; daughters, Jennifer Ammons-Moreno of Flat Rock and Julie Ammons Dion of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Daniel Ammons-Moreno of Memphis, TN, Marley Rose Moreno of Flat Rock, NC, John Carlyle Dion of Jacksonville, FL, Liza Baldwin Dion of Jacksonville, FL. And Charlotte Grace Dion of Jacksonville, FL; five great-grandchildren, and his brother John Duncan Ammons of Olin, NC.

The family will have a private Inurnment at the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery at a later date with his nephew, Rev. Brian Dwight Ammons, officiating.
