Judy Barnwell Silvers, 72, of Flat Rock went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Flora Barnwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Silvers, who passed in 2016 and her brother, Robert Barnwell.
Judy attended The Bridge Church, and she loved sitting on her porch and watching the birds. She was an avid gardener, baker and thoroughly enjoyed canning. Judy was extremely proud of her family and loved spending time with them, as well as bragging on them. Over the past couple of years, she had become passionate about our local law enforcement and the guys and gals of HCSO. This included helping cook for them, delivering baskets at Christmas, and fervently praying for the men and women protecting our county.
She is survived by her daughters, Shawna Metzker and Brandi Baldwin and her husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Adrian Metzker, Jade Hudgins, Brandon Baldwin and Preston Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Brantlee and Braylee Hudgins.
Memorial contributions in Judy’s memory made be made to the Henderson County K9 fund by hand delivering a check to the Henderson County Sheriffs Office, or by mailing to the Henderson County Sheriffs office, Attention Anita, and putting “Henderson County K9 fund” in the memo line.
