Johnny Leonard Goings, 67, of Hendersonville, went Home to be with our Jesus on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born in Cowpens, South Carolina, to the late Leonard Ray and Sylvia Mullinax Goings. He was also preceded in death by his sister, older brother, and granddaughter.
Johnny graduated from West Henderson High School, and he retired as a supervisor with Hendersonville City Public Works. He was a member of Upward Christian Fellowship and loved riding his Harley, restoring old Chevys, reading God’s Word, watching Andy Griffith, playing solitaire and loving his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Walker and her husband Doug of Arden, NC; son Johnny Ray Goings of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren, Telisha O’Riley, L’shon Workman, Brendon, Autumn, and Abbie Goings; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Tucker, and Charlie Praytor, Landon and Johnny Ray Goings, and Liam and Lilli Workman; brother James Goings of Mills River, NC; niece Michelle Goings, and nephew, Jason Goings.
A memorial service will be held at six o’clock pm on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Upward Christian Fellowship, with the Pastor Anthony Craver and Pastor Tony Birkhead officiating.
In lieu of flowers, dad would rather you invest yourself and time into your family.

So sorry for your loss. I knew him from working at Triangle Stop on Main St. He was such a big ten by bear, sweet guy!!!
