John Clarence Bishop, 73, of Hendersonville passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 after an extended illness.
Mr. Bishop was born on June 2, 1940, to the late Ossie and Ruby Tucker Bishop. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Bishop, who passed away in 2009.
Before retiring, he had worked a number of years as a truck driver for Averitt Express and had spent time as a heavy machinery operator.
He is survived by his son, Cheyenne Bishop and his wife Lisa; daughter, Cindy Camp; four grandchildren, Kimberly, John Michael, Ashton, Salena; and six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Trace, Ethan, Cacey, Zoee and Alexis.
A Cryptside service will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at Shepherd Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Reverend Richard Rhodes will officiate.
