Jenny Thompson “Jenny Bird” Starling, 68, of Hendersonville, passed away on June 9, 2022 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of James Richard and Sherley Ramsey Thompson. Jenny was a lifelong resident of Hendersonville, graduating from Edneyville High School and attending First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.

Jenny is survived by her daughter Cassie (Bill) Stallings of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Will and Jenna Stallings of Columbia, SC; her sisters, Missy (John) Jenkins of Hendersonville and Suzanne Whitmore of Cross Key; her special lifelong friend, Rita Sweezy; and her cousins: John, Becky, and Al Woods of Panama City Beach, FL.

In addition to her parents, Jenny is predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Tom Starling; and her grandparents that she adored, Jim and Annabelle Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 17th at 2:00pm in the Fellowship Hall at Bethel Wesleyan Church.
