James Franklin Thompson, 87, of Dana and Clyde, NC entered into Heaven’s Gate March 31, 2022.
He was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Daisy Rogers Thompson; four brothers: Boyd, Bill, Buck, and Robert; two sisters, Frances and Joann; one son, Terry; and one grandson, Brian.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Thompson; two sons, Robbie (Thelma) and Joseph (Andrea); two daughters, Renee (Eddie) and Tamara (Gene); three grandchildren: Steven, Dominique, and Nicholas; and one sister, Betty.
Frank owned Thompson Motors and had the reputation of being an honest and truthful car dealer. He loved animals, especially horses and dogs. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The family would like to thank Dr. Evan Beasley and Dr. Latif Abomussa for the medical care and friendship they provided for Frank and his family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 6th at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Shuler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 12:00-12:45pm. A private burial will occur at a later date.
