James (Jim) Avery Moses, 74, of Flat Rock, NC, died December 29, 2021.
Jim was born on April 20, 1947, in Brevard, NC, to Gernell and Bertha Moses who preceded him in death.
He graduated from West Henderson High School and became a skilled tool and die maker under an apprenticeship with General Electric Company. He retired from G.E. after 36 years. Jim was a devout member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, solving crossword puzzles, and taking care of his puppy Rosie.
He is survived by his daughter Sarah Bailey and her husband Jeff; his son Jesse Moses and his wife Christina; and daughters Kenna and Maleah Moses. He is survived by four grandsons: Cooper Bailey and Jude, Isaac, and Mark Moses; as well as his sister Marlene Holliday, her husband George, and their daughters: Debbie and Laura.
Services will be held Saturday, January 1 st , 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. Visitation will begin at 11am. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Steven Blanton will begin at 12pm with a graveside service following.

i knew both Jim and his dad. met his dad when i was 16 when my own daddy took me by his jome one rainy afternoon. i knrw Jim from both church and GE. He was a good man and dad. He reminded me of his own dad. i am truly saddened by his passing.
