Henry A. Gasperson, 92, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Elizabeth House. A native of Buncombe County, Henry lived in Henderson County most of his life. He was a son of the late Walter and Nanny Wood Gasperson. Henry was also preceded in death by his four brothers and three sisters.

Before retiring from Ingles, Henry had also retired as Grocery Manager from A&P. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and a member of the Hendersonville Lions Club for many years. He was an avid reader and loved to play golf.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-three years, Barbara Sosebee Gasperson; a cousin, Marie Sosebee; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Connelly will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am in the chapel prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731, or to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.

    |So sorry for Henry's passing . He always had a smile for everyone and a personality that bubbled over. We will miss running into him in town and chatting with him. He was a great manager at the A&P where we got to know him. May God bless all his family.
